Terms of service
Last updated 12 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of the website claimevidence.co.uk and the ClaimEvidence service, including pilot back-tests, provided by Sprint Ready Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 17375471 and registered office at Broughcliff, Shrewsbury, SY4 3LD ("we", "us"). ClaimEvidence is a trading name of Sprint Ready Ltd.
Where we agree a separate written order, statement of work or data processing agreement with you, that document takes priority over these terms if they conflict.
2. Business customers only
ClaimEvidence is provided only to businesses and professional advisers acting in the course of business. It is not offered to consumers. By using the service you confirm you're acting for a business and are authorised to accept these terms on its behalf.
3. What the service is
ClaimEvidence is a tool that organises a company's engineering records into a draft evidence pack to support the preparation of an R&D tax relief claim. It is provided to help a qualified professional, not to replace one.
- It does not provide tax, legal or accounting advice.
- It does not decide whether any activity qualifies as research and development, or whether expenditure qualifies for relief.
- It does not prepare, complete or submit any claim, Additional Information Form, claim notification or tax return, and it does not communicate with HMRC.
- Its output is produced with the help of AI and automated checks. It is a draft that may contain errors or omissions, and it must be reviewed by a suitably qualified person before any reliance is placed on it.
4. Your responsibilities
- You're responsible for any claim, report or submission you make, including its accuracy and completeness, and for your own professional judgement and obligations, including Professional Conduct in Relation to Taxation where it applies to you.
- You must have the right to share any records you send us, including any necessary permission from your client and a lawful basis for sharing any personal data in them.
- You must review all output before using it, and must not present it to HMRC or anyone else as independently verified by us.
- You must not use the service for anything unlawful, to support a claim you know or suspect to be false, or to try to access another customer's data or disrupt the service.
5. Pilot back-tests
During the pilot, back-tests are free. They are provided to let you evaluate the service on a project from a claim already filed, and are not intended for use in a live claim. Back-test output is provided "as is", without any warranty, and we may change or end the pilot at any time. Parts of a back-test may be completed or checked by hand by our team; we'll tell you which.
6. Confidentiality
We treat all records you send us, and all output we produce for you, as confidential. We'll use them only to provide the service to you, and disclose them only to our staff and sub-processors who need them for that purpose and are bound by confidentiality, or where the law requires it. We'll sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement on request before you share anything.
7. Data protection
Where records you send us contain personal data, you (or your client) are the controller and we are the processor. We'll process that data only on your documented instructions and under a data processing agreement meeting UK GDPR Article 28, which we provide for every engagement. Our handling of your own contact and account data is described in our privacy policy.
8. Intellectual property
- Your material: you, or your client, keep all rights in the records you send us. You give us permission to use them only to provide the service.
- Output: evidence packs and other output we produce for you belong to you, once any fees due for them are paid. Back-test output is yours to use for evaluation.
- Our platform: we own the service, software, prompts, methods, website and branding. You may not copy, resell or reverse-engineer them.
- No model training: we won't use your records or output to train AI models.
- Feedback: we may use feedback you give us to improve the service, without identifying you or your clients unless you agree.
9. Fees
Pilot back-tests are free. Fees for paid use of the service will be set out in an order or on our website before you're asked to pay. Prices are in pounds sterling and exclude VAT where applicable.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that can't be limited or excluded by law.
Subject to that:
- We aren't liable for any loss of profit, revenue, tax relief, business or goodwill, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
- We aren't liable for any loss arising from a claim, submission or decision made using our output, including any tax, interest or penalty, because responsibility for reviewing output and making claims rests with you.
- For free pilot back-tests, our total liability is limited to £100.
- For paid services, our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.
11. Suspension and ending
You can stop using the service at any time, subject to any minimum term in an order you've signed. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms. When your use ends, we'll delete or return your material as described on our Trust & data page and in your data processing agreement.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The version that applies is the one in force when you use the service; for paid services, we'll give you notice of material changes before they take effect.
13. Law and disputes
These terms, and any dispute arising from them, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
